Margery finished with an AAS from the Fashion Institute of Technology and Art Students League in New York. She completed her BA from the University of Bridgeport and taught art in highschool for several years. Margery spent many years as a freelance technical illustrator doing pen and ink drawings in the Boston area. Years later, she became interested in technology and studied for a Masters degree in Technology Management from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA.

Since 1995 Margery has been actively painting botanical watercolors. She is a member of the Peninsula and San Francisco Orchid Societies, the National Watercolor Society (NWS), the California Watercolor Societies (CWS), the Pacific Art League and the American Society of Botanical Artists (ASBA).

Famous orchid growers, Rod McLellan and Sunset Orchids have commissioned
Margery to paint their award winning specimens and have displayed her paintings in
their shows and stores throughout the Bay Area. Since 1997, Margery has
expanded her on-location painting to inspirational settings in France,
Greece, Italy, Hawaii, and the Southwest.
